With breastfeeding alone (and a generally healthy diet) I was always back to about 5-10 lbs. above pre-pregnancy weight within the first 6-8 weeks after giving birth. Usually about 5 extra lbs. stuck around until closer to 10-12 months, at which point I would lose the last 5 lbs. plus another 5 if I was exercising regularly.

Post Delivery Diet And Exercise Especially For The Butt And Thighs?
Tuesday, September 15th, 2009I just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 6 weeks ago. I dropped 15 Ibs right at the hospital and then 5 more when I got home.. and been since then stuck there. I was 120Ibs pre-pregnancy and I am now stuck at 140. I go back to work in 2 weeks and I would like to fit in some of my jeans (like maybe my PMS jeans;p) which I have not been able to. Of course my belly is one area, but my butt and thighs WOW just expanded at delivery not even at pregnancy .. I love working out but I barely have time to clean the house now let alone work out. I love healthy foods and I am not big soda/ junk food person so any diet would work for me…Help? any suggestions for home exercises I can do or any food specification that would help me?
PS:
I know I have not had an appetite to eat , at least not the way I used to since I had him. I know this doesn’t help, but I make myself eat at least one meal a day but usually nothing else all day
